Substance Use Counseling

Two clients finding hope and humor again in recovery

Drug abuse prevention & recovery

Understanding how it begins — especially for teenagers

Substance difficulties rarely start with the substance itself. They start with pressure, pain, sleeplessness or the need to belong. Our counseling looks at the whole picture: the habit, the triggers underneath it, and the life you want beyond it.

There is no shame here and no lecture. Teens, adults and families each get a space that fits them — honest, practical and paced to real life.

  • Early intervention — spotting warning signs in teens and young adults before habits harden.
  • Recovery counseling — weekly one-to-one sessions built around your triggers and goals.
  • Family guidance — helping parents and partners support recovery without enabling it.
  • Relapse prevention — concrete plans for high-risk moments, cravings and setbacks.

Who this is for

Support at every stage

Whether you're questioning your own use, worried about your teenager, or holding a family together through someone else's recovery — you don't have to navigate it alone. Group sessions run biweekly and bring together people who truly understand.

Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly to start, in person or online. Everything discussed stays confidential, including from family members, unless you choose to include them.

Questions

Asked often

No. Many clients begin unsure of their goal. We start where you are — reducing harm, understanding patterns — and let your goals sharpen as clarity grows.

Yes. Teens get their own confidential space, with agreed check-ins for parents so everyone stays informed without breaking trust.

Happily. We coordinate with detox centers, rehab programs, psychiatrists and 12-step sponsors whenever you ask us to, so your care stays joined up.

Change can start this week.
